Joanne R. Hill, age 83, of Dover, DE, passed on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Born in Chester, PA on September 26, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Datillo) Rullo.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Brainard Hill; and sisters, Barbara Abercrombie and Rose Tarantino. She is survived by her sons, Robert B. Hill (Gail) of New Britain, CT and Jeffrey D. Hill (Kimberly) of Middletown; and grandchildren, Robert, Brian, Brett, Braden, and Dylan.

Per Joanne’s wishes, all services will be held privately.

  • I’ve have known Joanne for most of my life. Aunt Bea and Uncle Fred loved her very much. Spent a lot of Holiday with her and Bill and the boys. I always thought she was so pretty. Will always Remer her laugh. Our hearts go out to her boys and there families. She’s at peace with her love ones now. GOD BLESS HER.

  • It was certainly a sorrowful surprise reading that Joanne had passed away. My sincere condolences to the family. Joanne was a coworker of mine at New Castle County Public Works. A wonderful person.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. I am saddened that I lost touch with her once she moved to Dover. I was privileged to reconnect with my cousin Joanne. I so enjoyed having lunch with her and talking to her weekly. I know she is with the love of her life her husband Bob. I can see them loving looking into each others eyes.
