John T. Moore Jr.

John T. Moore Jr., age 41, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, surrounded by his close family and friends.

Born in Newark, DE, on February 14, 1984, he was a son of John T. Moore, Sr. and the late Deborah Anne (McLaren) Miller. John was a graduate of William Penn High School with the class of 2002. He worked as a mover for United Van Lines for 25 years.

John loved sports; he was a BMX rider for many years and enjoyed watching soccer. He loved fishing and going to the NASCAR races with his friends, Uncle D, and his cousin, Corey. Above all, his most cherished moments were spent with his family. John will always be remembered for his laughter and kindness to help anyone in need

In addition to his mother, John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Myrtle McLaren; and cousin, Albert Moore. He is survived by his children, J.T. Moore III and Logan Moore; father, John T. Moore, Sr.; siblings, Roland Moore, Henry Miller, and Michelle Chisenhall; aunt and uncle, Mendy and Donald (Uncle D) McLaren Jr. ; cousins, Lauren, AJ, Corey, Jeremy, Gabby and Sara, with whom he grew up with; nephews, Jace and Austin Chisenhall; his best friend in life, Billy Heal and the Heal family; Mike Fede and his family as well all his extended Moore family.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
