Juanita Marie “Nean” Wilson

February 28, 1955 - December 11, 2021

Juanita Marie “Nean” Wilson, age 66, of Bear, DE, went home to be with the Lord peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, December 11, 2021.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on February 28, 1955, she was a daughter of Doris S. (Williamson) Burns and the late Raymond R. Wilson. Nean worked as a customer service representative in Bear, DE for many years.

She lived her life for her grandchildren. There was nothing that she would not do for them. She wore many hats. A mother, grandmother, mentor, guardian angel, and best friend.

Nean was a fierce woman – holding fast to her beliefs, defending those she loved. Never wavering from her convictions. Her circle was small. Those who were fortunate enough to be in it, she loved immensely. She was thoughtful and giving and will be greatly missed. In her spare time, she loved taking her grandchildren to Lancaster, PA, reading about history, and drinking iced tea.

In addition to her father, Nean was preceded in death by her brother, Donald L. Wilson. In addition to her mother, she is survived by children, Jason R. Liles (Marianne) and Jennifer L. Bentley (Jon); siblings, Jeanne E. Hodgkiss and Dave R. Wilson; and grandchildren, Jason, Amber, Christian, and Grace.

All services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nean’s memory to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.

4 Condolences for Juanita Marie “Nean” Wilson

  • Nean sounds amazing I wish I could have met her. I do believe I have met her through my lovely Amber. I’m so sorry for your pain. Keep your heart open for signs of peace from your Nean. Sending the whole family peace and love🦋

  • Nean is my cousin. We had some wonderful times together when we were younger, spent several summers together. Unfortunately she lived in northern DE and I lived in southern DE so as we got older didn’t stay in contact much, but she has always had a special place in my heart. Thoughts and prayers to Aunt Doris and all her family.

  • Deepest Sympathy 💐❤️‍🩹

  • I’m sorry for your loss sending prayers. Sorry our family’s drifted apart over the year, I remember Juanita like it was yesterday a very sweet person.
