Judith A. “Judy” Moore, age 84, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Born in Chester, PA on December 12, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Viola V. (Meredith) Yeager. Judy was a retired school teacher from Delcastle High School.

Judy doted on her family, she loved bragging about her grandchildren and their accomplishments. She also loved talking about her father and his service in the United States Navy and Merchant Marines. Judy was a wonderful mother and grandmother; her family was everything to her. Judy especially loved traveling to South Carolina to see her son and his family.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Moore; and sister, Sarah Jane Hawkins. She is survived by her loving sons, Frank Harris (Shellie) of Summerville, SC, and John J. Harris III (Lynn) of Newark; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 1 pm on Friday, September 30, 2022 in Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 West Ridge Road, Linwood, PA 19061.
