Judith G. Simpson

Judith G. Simpson, age 79, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Born in Hagerstown, MD, on December 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Von W. and Leona (Cheney) Gordon. Judith graduated from William Penn High School in 1960. She made her career as a senior field clerk for Bell Atlantic and retired in 1995 after 27 years of service. Judith enjoyed collecting Longaberger baskets and Annalee dolls. In her spare time, she loved square dancing.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan F. Simpson. She is survived by her loving sons, Edward M. Ellis of Smyrna, Gregory C. Ellis of Clayton, C. Patrick Ellis (Trish) of Lincoln University, PA, and John P. Ellis of Smyrna; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 E. Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
