Keith Raymond Murson
February 15, 1957 - March 1, 2025
Keith Raymond Murson, age 68, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Born in Elkton, MD on February 15, 1957, he was a son of Frances “Fran” (Franklin) Fish and the late Kenneth Murson. Keith proudly served in the United States Army. He made his career as a dredgerman for IUOE Local 25.
Keith could often be found cheering on his favorite football and baseball teams. He loved watching his granddaughters play softball and never missed a game. In his younger years, Keith enjoyed playing golf. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crabbing, which he did commercially for a period of time. Keith was proud to be an American and very patriotic.
In addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by his uncle, Oscar Fowler (Eleanor); aunt, Audrey Pearce; cousins, Clem Fowler and Sandy Fowler; grandmother, Laura Murphy; grandparents, Margaret Howard and Charles (Buck) Franklin; stepmother, Ellen Murson; and siblings, Emmy Matthews, Terry Bane, and Blair Kline. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie E. Murson; brother, Charles Murson; stepsister, Sue Ellen Lappee (Clint); mother, Fran Fish (Donnie); daughters, Angie and Rebecca of Omaha, NE and two grandsons; sons, Rory Schuster (Erin) and Jason Schuster (Brittany); and grandchildren, Kendall, Teagan, Scarlett, River, and Summer.
The Murson family would like to extend a special thank you to AccentCare Hospice and all the nurses and doctors in the oncology department at Christiana Care Hospital and the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11:30 am on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. A committal service will follow in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith’s memory to a veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
