  • We (my wife and I) met Kellie and Theo during their travel to Niagara falls ON Canada several years ago. We spent a night at hotel together drinking and talking about different things. Ever since we were Kellie’s followers in FB. I can’t say how sorry I am once I saw her daughter’s announcement. My condolences from the bottom of my heart. RIP Kellie.

  • Way back when I was 22 I married Kellies brother Michael. Kellie was a young mother of a four year old Susie, she was a strong, proud mother and fire fighter. She was always involved with family, and supported her community fire company, she was so much fun to be around. She loved her brother, my then husband, and was always there to greet us when we traveled to her family home in Pirt Penn. Mike was in the USAF. stationed in NJ and came to Delaware as often as we could. Kellie was the life of the party, she was always chatting, laughing, making everyone feel welcome. It was always so much fun to watch her and her father George dancing together! He taught her well, they could cut a rug! Kellie was always friendly and kind to me, and I will always be thankful for that. There will always be a place in my heart for her, you see….I understand the pain of depression, sadness, and symptoms unrecognized my son spiraled into a dark lonely place so awful and severe that my son attempted suicide 7 years ago. He was not successful, although he jumped off a balcony 5 stories high. Kellie and her sister Amy rushed to be at their nephew Jordan’s side, traveling from Delaware to Florida! Kellie was instrumental in keeping our hopes up, remaining positive and supporting her brother Mike. The thought that Kellie was depressed after she lost her most loved best friend Theo….and that hopelessness and despair settled in, that Kellies pain was so immense, she saw no other way, is so unbelievable to me, it’s incredibly sad. Mental health is still such a stigmatized area of medicine. I find it so very frustrating that finding mental health care is nonexistent for many people, they are forced to live in pain and so often that pain becomes a crisis. I pray there is change, that our government places importance on this much needed issue. Covid caused such a mental health emergency….and still, there are so many people suffering, without assistance. Kellie was a phenomenal woman, she was smart, strong and happy. She deserved better, systems we currently rely on….are a failure. I’m so sorry for this families loss.
Kellie was loved by many….and will be missed by more. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Kellie, may you have found your peace that you left here for!

  • When I met Kellie she was instantly friendly and welcoming. Her and Theo together had such a wonderful take on life and all the things. I loved her point of view and sense of humor! Nothing was boring when you did it with Kellie! I really admired her as a women, she beat to her own drum for sure. The world is forever changed without those two. I feel lucky to have spent the time with them that I did and forever greatful. Prayers and good vibes to her closest family and friends.
