Kenneth Neubauer
January 12, 1938 - February 1, 2024
Kenneth Neubauer, age 86, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Born in St. Paul, MN on January 12, 1938, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Dorothy Neubauer (Sporer). Kenneth proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He then became a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service. Kenneth liked being active and enjoyed golfing, camping trips with his friends “The Six Pack”, traveling, scuba diving, baseball, and softball. He was also a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 136, in Illinois.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his siblings, Gerald Neubauer, Michael Neubauer, Richard Wagner, and Janet Staples; his mother-in-law, Venus Alfree; and his grandson, Eric Mattison He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry A. Neubauer; their children, Michael Neubauer (Daphne) of Newark, DE, Lori Ellis (Bill) of Townsend, DE, Paula Indellini (Lori) of New Castle, DE, and James Neubauer (Karen) of New Castle, DE; his siblings, Ronald Neubauer of Nebraska City, NE, Mary Kemp of St. Paul, MN, and Steven Neubauer (Paula) of Champlain, MN; 12 grandchildren; Mindy (Matt), Lucas (Kate), Sara, Michael, Matthew (Jill), Andrew, Danielle, Cassandra, Nicholas, David, Meaghan, and Regan; and 5 great-grandchildren; Gary, Trystan, Tymber, Harper, and Gabriel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 801 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE. Inurnment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
