Kimberly Ann “Kim” Thomas
March 19, 1970 - March 4, 2025
Kimberly Ann “Kim” Thomas, aged 54, of Newark, Delaware, passed away on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, on March 19th, 1970, she was the daughter of Carl L. and Joan A. (Roberts) Sharpe.
Kim dedicated and devoted her life to her loving family and friends. She was a kind soul who loved giving instead of receiving. She was the neighborhood mom who always welcomed anyone with a warm plate and a hug at the door. She was the #1 supporter of anyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. She always made everyone around her smile and happy with just her glowing aura. She’d give the shirt off her own back to anyone who knew her. She was a caring and thoughtful mother and wife.
Kim loved all animals, especially her precious cat, Bella, and her dog, Varrick. In her spare time, she enjoyed riding horses, traveling to the beach, planting flowers in her garden and feeding the squirrels and birds in front of her home.
Kim is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, John C. Thomas; children, Victoria L. Thomas (James Snyder) and Christopher D. Thomas; parents, Carl L. and Joan A. Sharpe; and brothers, Jason L. Sharpe (Lisa) and Matthew J. Sharpe (Rebecca).
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3:30 pm on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Inurnment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kim’s memory to Faithful Friends, 165 Airport Road, New Castle, DE 19720.

I have so many wonderful memories of Kim from our time working together at IRA in the printshop. We were like work sisters, and I’ll always cherish those moments. I only wish I had picked up the phone and called her a few weeks ago. My heart is heavy.

To our wonderful family members who lost their daughter, sister, wife, mother, niece or cousin,
We grieve with you for the loss of a beautiful loving spirit we knew in Kim. I remember her at her parents kicking back, relaxing, and laughing over my husband’s jokes during that visit we met her then boyfriend, John. The next visit was attending their wedding, which was great to experience. They seemed perfect for each other. I remember her dancing with our son Chris who was about 4 years old. He loved that and liked Kim for dancing with him, but what little boy wouldn’t when a beautiful young lady dances with you in a beautiful white wedding dress. One of my favorite memories with Kim. See you in Heaven, Kim, when it is time for our homegoing celebrations. For now, enjoy your homegoing celebration with Jesus and our Heavenly Father as well as all our family members who have gone before you/us. What an amazing time you must be having. We love and miss you, and you will be missed in our next family gathering. We look forward to our next reunion with you in Heaven though, so save a good spot for us next to you.
Love 💙 Always,
Robert & Renee Lackie
