Kimberly Jo “Kim” Walther
July 22, 1964 - January 28, 2023
Kimberly Jo “Kim” Walther, age 58, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
Born in Bainbridge, MD on July 22, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Darwin John and Lillie (Lentz) Halling. Kim was a graduate of Newark High School. She then went on to work at W.L. Gore for many years as a machinist.
Kim could often be found outside hunting, fishing, or riding her beloved motorcycle “Fat Boy”. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Kim will always be remembered for living life to the fullest, her free spirit, and her favorite saying “Everything is gonna be okay”.
In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her husband, John Walther; and brother, Bruce Halling. She is survived by her children, Bret Raven Halling and Shannon McIntyre (Ron); brother, Frank Halling (Debbie Zmierski); lifelong friends, Wanda Williams and Liz Lewis; and several grandchildren and many dear friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will be held privately in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

Kim was a Good Family friend & Actually use to take care of me & my Brother Geoff when we were young During summer Breaks in the Early 80’s, I remember having So much fun..lol I remained friends with her for 40 yrs.
