Kristen Anne “Smurf” Foraker

Kristen Anne “Smurf” Foraker, age 41, of Townsend, DE, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Born in Wilmington, DE on June 27, 1984, she was a daughter of Betty L. (Faust) and Robert T. Foraker II. Kristen was a William Penn graduate and went on to graduate from Delaware Tech with an A.A.S degree in Early Childhood Care and Education on May 18, 2005 and furthered her education with an A.A.S in Criminal Justice on December 15, 2007.

Kristen excelled in hospitality throughout her life. She was a Customer Service Representative, Food Service Manager, and a Manager-in-Training at Wawa, most recently working at the Boyd’s Corner location. She was a member of AA and her addiction was her enemy. Kristen was still always looking for a way to help others; she was a Gift of Life donor to help those who are in need.

Kristen was preceded in death by her only sister, Melissa L. Foraker; her aunt, Karen Faust; and grandparents, Betty and Carl Faust and Robert Foraker. She is survived by her mother, Betty L. Foraker; father, Robert T. Foraker II; grandmother, Carolyn C. Foraker; aunts, Yvonne Coleman (Don), Carol Johnson (Gary) and Helen Kunder (Bill); uncles, Jeff Foraker (Bobbi) and Carl Faust (Ann); boyfriend, Rich Gouge; as well as many cousins and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 1 pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. Services and interment will be held privately.

  • My Lord. This one hurts bad. Kristen and I were very close throughout our teens and early 20s. Not a mean bone in her body. She was there for me when a lot of folks werent. I’ll miss you, Smurf.

We met in person once and I remember her having this amazing personality and she was a very lovely person. I hadn’t seen her since and I always wanted to visit again but it never happened.   • I Don’t know what to say.. I was close friends with both her and Mrlissa and I never knew a heart could be torn apart so many times.. I just pray she is at rest, she deserves that and so much more.. Her heart was more precious then any stone or metal this world could provide. At least her and her sister are finally together..
