Lacy E. Holly, Jr., age 82, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

Born in Sun, WV on February 23, 1943, he was a son of the late Lacy E. and Wanda (Perry) Holly, Sr. Lacy was a graduate of Mount Hope High School and later earned his Bachelor’s degree in history from Elkton Baptist College. He made his career as an auto plant worker at Chrysler Co. for 47 years until his retirement. A man of faith, Lacy was a dedicated member and founder of Lighthouse Baptist Church for 25 years.

In addition to his parents, Lacy was preceded in death by his siblings, Cyrus Holly (Connie) and Susan Olsen (Roger). He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Victoria P. (Foster) Holly; children, Lacy E. Holly III, Timothy W. Holly (Leann), and Tammy Ammermon (Patrick); grandchildren, Bryan Ammermon, Jason Ammermon, Thomasin Holly, Benjamin Holly, Sophia Holly, Timmy Holly, and Taylor Holly; and great-grandson, Benjamin Holly.

All services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lacy’s memory to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1842 Otts Chapel Road, Newark, DE 19702.
