Laura Lee Fitzpatrick

May 1, 1958 - November 12, 2025

Laura Lee Fitzpatrick, age 67, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Born in Washington State on May 1, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Dolores M. (O’Brien) Settle. Laura worked in the dental field for over 20 years as a dental receptionist. She also proudly served our country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Laura, deeply rooted in her faith, attended St. Joseph Parish. She also was a voracious reader. Laura loved to travel, especially river and ocean voyages with her husband, and try new restaurants and cuisines. She looked forwarded to making the home she shared with John, festive and magical for every holiday and season. She enjoyed playing board games and cards with other couples. More than anything else, Laura had the biggest heart. She loved everyone she knew, particularly children and animals.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, John J. Fitzpatrick, Jr., whom is a veteran as well; brother, Michael W. Settle (Teri); nephew, Brian Settle (Jennifer); nieces, Meredyth Croteau (Russell) and Emily Settle; and cousins, Jeff Milyo (Margaret), Jim Milyo (Lisa), Kathy Burgasser (Matt), Michael Milyo (Kris) and Loretta Lison (Paul).

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at St. Joseph Parish, 371 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11:30 am. A committal service will follow in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
