LeRoy Alvin “Roy” Wilson

LeRoy Alvin “Roy” Wilson, age 75, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019.
Born in Atlantic City, NJ on November 22, 1943, he was a son of the late James Arthur and Gladina Delores (Diggs) Wilson. Roy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2017 after 31 dedicated years. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed target shooting with his friends, watching TV and his extensive DVD collection.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Wilson. Roy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Earlene F. (Fowler) Wilson; daughter, Rhonda Brown (Damon) of NC; sister, Candace Wildy (Earl) of Orange, NJ; sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson of Sudbury, MA; 3 grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; and special friends, Roberta and Dave Fulk and Paula and Julio Riley Rodriguez.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11:30 am. Entombment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roy’s memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
