Leslie Anne Hill
Leslie Anne Hill, age 80, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
Leslie and her husband, Ron spent twenty years living in Harthausen, a small village near Munich, Germany due to Ron’s job. It was an idyllic location for her to raise her two children, and she relished her time there very much. After returning to Delaware in 1987, Leslie enjoyed decorating her home, cooking, planning family gatherings, and driving around town in her purple Plymouth Prowler. In later years she joined a knitting group, and they became good friends. Leslie and Ron enjoyed meeting friends for dinner at local restaurants, notably Bakers, Skipjack, the Blue Crab Grill, Nick and Joe’s Pizza, and Daddy’s Kitchen.
Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Anna Mae Arnold; husband of 57 years, Ron; and brother, Jack. She is survived by her children, Carrie (David) of Tyler, TX and David (Mandy) of Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Chase, Natalie, Andrew, and Lucas; and a great-grandchild due on 2/24.
All services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leslie’s memory to The Food Bank of Delaware, 222 Lake Drive, Newark, DE 19702 or online by clicking here.

I am so very sorry to hear of Leslie’s passing. I am one of the ladies from the knitting group and have known Leslie for over 20 years . we have been meeting and doing lunch mostly . Usually just talk about knitting now. It has been four in our group and so much enjoyed doing lunch rarely missing a week. Leslie was such a sweet lady and proud to consider her my friend. I know the last year has been rough and she had been thru so much but she always stood strong. I will miss her everyday but am happy she is now with Ron

I am terribly sorry to hear about Leslie’s passing, but she is now with her Ron. I am another knitting friend. Even though we never met each other’s family members, we pretty much knew what every one’s children and grandchildren were up to and boy, was Leslie proud of all of them!
Even though she has had a rough year, she was still hopeful that she could join us a few weeks ago.
My condolences to her entire family and she will be missed a lot!

Les was a dear friend. I will miss her immensely. Words can’t describe how much she meant to me, and I hope she knew how much she was loved by everyone. It eases the pain somewhat knowing she is now with Ron. Rest easy, Les.
