Linda Lenhardt Bergeron, age 76, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Born in Hazleton, PA, on July 29, 1948, she was the youngest daughter of the late Henry and Helen Lenhardt.

On September 30,1967, Linda married her high school sweetheart, Ed Bergeron. They were blessed with three beautiful children, Suzanne (Shelley), Edward Jr. (Ted) and Brian. She was an avid crafter and spent much of her time with friends sewing, crocheting, and cross stitching. She belonged to several craft clubs and delighted in using her talents to create beautiful items for family, friends and those in need. Linda was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish where she volunteered at the Outreach Office.  As a former member of Our Lady of Fatima and St. Joseph’s parishes, Linda participated in parent groups and Women’s Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Linda and her family split their summers between the beaches of Indian River Inlet, Delaware and South Pond, New Hampshire. Many happy times were spent boating, fishing, swimming and camping. Later in life, Linda and Ed enjoyed the shores of Woodland Beach, DE.

6 Condolences for Linda Lenhardt Bergeron

  • My sincerest condolences. Lynda was a wonderful lady with a great sense of humor. Great memories of her and your family. Janet Poultney Henderson

  • Had the pleasure of knowing and working with Linda in public health as she supported families in Child Development Watch. She was a member of our van pool several years bringing her humor and laugher on the daily commute. She’d make a comment to stir up conversation then play the innocent replying, “I’m just sitting here minding my own business.” Earning the nick name of Pot Stirrer. Also her devotion to her husband with a funny story about ‘Mr. Wonderful.” Blessing to the family, she was a wonderful person.

  • Remember Lynda’s laugh, eye roll and funny stories about Mr. Wonderful at Child Development Watch. Remember when Mr. Wonderful built the green house for her.

  • I’m very saddened by the loss of my cousin, Linda. She meant so much to many; always helping someone in need. Growing up she was very entertaining which she never outgrew. Linda could always make you laugh with her stories and comments. I will miss her dearly. My deepest condolences to her family.

  • I met Lynda as a coworker in 2005 at Child Development Watch. We were office mates at the Limestone office, and for a while our desks faced each other so we could both have a window view (although maybe that was not the most productive set up). We frequently travelled together to work and work functions, and often met for lunch. We also spent many hours card making and scrapbooking with our friend Laurie Smith. Through the years, I heard many stories about her children, grandchildren, “Mr. Wonderful” and traveling to Woodland Beach and NH. I loved when Lynda would bring her fresh picked blackberries to share. I had not seen Lynda as much since I changed jobs, but I am happy that we had a little CDW reunion in December last year and I got to see her. My condolences to her friends and family. May she rest in peace.

  • Sincere condolences to the Bergeron children and their families. I remember Linda from Our Lady of Fatima. We had children in the same grades and we were often involved in church and school functions. Cherish the memories of this very special lady!
