To my second home,
Mrs. Wright may not have been my grandmother by blood, but she sure acted like one — the kind that made you a sandwich, gave you a life lesson, and scared the hell out of you if you mouthed off — all in the same afternoon.
She was full of fire, sharp as a tack, and never took a single ounce of nonsense from anyone, and somehow, that made you feel even more loved. Her home was a sanctuary — not always quiet, definitely not drama-free, but always full of warmth, tough love, and a whole lot of sass.
She raised people right, whether they were hers or not, and you always knew where you stood with her — because she’d tell you, loud and clear, probably with a side-eye.
I believe she left a mark on everyone she met, and I’m better for having grown up under her watchful (and wildly expressive) eye. I’ll carry her lessons — and her laugh — with me always.
Sending love and a toast to the fiercest woman I’ve ever known. Heaven better be ready, because they’ve got their hands full now.
With love,
Justine.

When I think of Linda, I always recall her beautiful smile and joyous laughter. She was a friend to all. Linda was truly one of “the good guys”! She left her imprint on all who knew her and we are better for that. May God comfort all of you in your time of loss. Love you guys!

Today we will all join to celebrate your amazing life Linda. Oh what a life you lived. A true warrior to the end, battling more than most people could ever endure.
When you made friends, they were friends for life and oh what a friend you were. I will miss chuckling when I call you on my Bluetooth and it says calling Linda HOOD- Wright. Our funny texts, conversations and Friday dinners will not be the same.
Tears will fall today as memories roll down our faces but I’m not crying for you Linda cause you’re at peace but I’m crying for those of us that will miss you every single day.
Rest in Linda till I see you in Heaven. Love Jan

Dear Bruce, Rob, and Tina,
I’m so saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. She (and Bruce) were the kind of caring neighbors every child growing up deserves.
My school bus stop was at the corner of their house. They always kept their front door porch open for all of us waiting on the school bus to stand inside. It not only kept us dry from inclement weather but I always felt safe under their watchful eye.
Linda’s smile and laughter was contagious and her hospitality unforgettable.
Sending heart felt prayers with fond memories,
Candi (Horne) DelPizzo
