Lois Ann Dukes

Lois Ann Dukes, age 88, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE on February 27, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Yola (Everett) and Charles Dukes, Sr. Lois dedicated many years as an assembly worker with Ametek.

Lois could often be found in her backyard growing various vegetables and tending to her flower garden in her spare time. She enjoyed traveling and was a collector or art and antiques. Lois was quite a fan of Andrew Wyeth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Briant Shepherd and daughter, Lisa Edgerton. Lois is survived by her children, Richard Baker (Karen) and Susan McClain; brother, Charles Dukes, Jr, (Colette); 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

​A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will be held privately.
