Lois Kay (Crockett) Nesci
July 18, 1951 - February 1, 2026
Lois Kay (Crockett) Nesci, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 74.
Lois was born on July 18, 1951, in Delaware, where she was raised. She was the youngest child—the cherished baby of eight—and is survived by her three brothers, David, Norman (Doug), Charles Crockett.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Francis Nesci; her daughter, Gloria Brooks; her son, David Lockwood Jr.; and her stepdaughters, Andrea and Jennifer. Lois was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edna (Argo) Crockett; her brother, James Crockett; and her sisters, Thelma “Sissy”, Carolyn, and Linda.
Lois found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with her family, fishing alongside her husband Fran, and expressing her creativity through crafting. She will forever be remembered for her strength, her deep love for her husband and family, and the gentle way she cared for others.
Lois will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who were blessed to know her.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Head of Christiana Church Cemetery, 1104 West Church Road, Newark, DE.
