Louis Richard “Lou” Fiorelli

Louis Richard “Lou” Fiorelli, age 73, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on June 10, 1952, he was a son of the late Anthony Joseph and Margaret Theresa (Sarro) Fiorelli. Lou made his career as an instrument technician at Delmarva Power for 37 years until his retirement in 2010. He continued working part time as a consultant until 2024.

Lou enjoyed building entries for the DAP Soap Box Pushmobile Derby for his kids and grandkids. He loved spending his free time on the water, fishing, crabbing, and boating on the Indian River.

In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by his brother, William Fiorelli. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret “Peggy” (Cael) Fiorelli; children, Patricia M. Fiorelli, Christina M. Fiorelli, Joseph M. Fiorelli (Meghan), and Richard M. Fiorelli; and grandchildren, Keely, Frankie, Tony, Dante, and Braydon.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Holy Angels Parish, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
