Dear big brother, forgive me for not going to see you when i went to the United States and also for not going to see you when you came here to Puerto Rico. I want you to know that I’m going to miss you a lot and it hurts me that we haven’t met in person. Thank you for loving me and treating me like your younger sister and always giving me the affection and the place of sister. I’m going to miss your messages and our long conversations on the phone a lot. Forgive me why I won’t be able to be with you at your funeral but as you know I’m a mother of two little girls and the lack of money prevents me from doing so. I am grateful to God for having met you and having had you as a brother. I will always love you and I will never forget you.
Sincerely your little sister Michelle.

Dear Luis,
I want to leave these words in honor of the place you hold in my daughters’ lives.
You showed them kindness in ways that felt safe and steady. You listened to them, laughed with them, and treated them with respect. In your presence, they felt seen and valued, and that is something children carry with them forever.
Because of you, they learned that love can be gentle, patient, and sincere. They learned that there are people in this world who care deeply and expect nothing in return. That lesson will stay with them as they grow.
Even though you are no longer here, what you gave them has not disappeared. It lives on in their memories, in their sense of trust, and in the warmth they still feel as you will always be remembered.
Thank you for loving my daughters in the way you did. Your place in their story will always matter.
Rest in Power! God Bless You, We will forever love you!

Querido Hermano:
Tu hermana Yamira/Yamy.
