Margaret C. “Peggy” Boyle

Margaret C. “Peggy” Boyle, age 95, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Born in Secretary, MD on February 1, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Lucille (Tubman) Colbourn. Peggy worked as a bookkeeper for DiSabatino Construction until her retirement.
Peggy belonged to the Delaware Association for Family and Community Education (for over 50 years) and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Cooch’s Bridge Chapter. Peggy loved to walk and sit outside in her yard with Kitty-Kitty.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Boyle; and brother, Samuel Colbourn. She is survived by her children, Margaret “Margie” Buyer (Carl) of Calabash, NC and Carol Martin (John) of Zeeland, MI; grandchildren, Emily Buyer and Ben Shakelton (Lilly); and her faithful cat, Kitty-Kitty.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11 am on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
