Margaret E. “Marge” Cole

Margaret E. “Marge” Cole, age 82, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

Born in Sandusky, OH on April 20, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Beatrice (Fowler) Smith. Marge worked as a supervisor at the State of Delaware for many years.

Marge was a member of the St. George’s Historical Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden or relaxing with a good book. Above all, Marge loved her family and making memories with them.

Marge is survived by her husband, George N. Cole, Jr.; children, Sandra L. Bufo of Bear and George Cole III of Middletown; grandchildren, Angelo and Frank (Tori); 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 4 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A graveside service will begin at 10 am on Monday, March 4, 2024, in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
