Margaret Mae “Peggy” Hawkins, age 75, of Georgetown, DE, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 23, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Jay and Helen (Finley) Williams. Peggy made her career as a computer analyst for the DuPont Company, retiring after over 20 years of dedicated service. She also owned and operated Peggy’s School of Dance in Somers Point, NJ. In her leisure time, Peggy enjoyed camping and going to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Williams, Jay Williams and Bill Dyer. Peggy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Louis P. Hawkins; daughter, Deana Sweeny (Sean); son, Brian Salvucci (Katie); sisters, Helen Morris (Ed) and Michelle Morgan; sister-in-law, Barbara Henson; step children, Jennefer Hawkins, Michael Hawkins, Jesse Hawkins and Louis Trott; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Peggy’s name to Robert & Eolyne Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Hwy., Suite 101, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
