Marie A. Hobbs, age 64, of New Castle, DE, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 14, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 11, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Alfonzo and Lucille (Tortorice) Alfano. Marie formerly worked for Sheridan Nissan in New Castle as a warranty administrator.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Douglas F. Hobbs; children, Lou Anne Molinaro and Joseph Molinaro; brother, Raymond Alfano; sister, Annette Gershen (Jay); granddaughters, Sydney and Reagan Poff; and niece and nephew, Bryan Gershen and Sabrina Dadonna.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 6 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie’s name to Heartland Hospice, 256 Chapman Rd., Suite 102, Newark, DE 19702.

It is comforting to know that she is sleeping peacefully in death and no longer battling the illness that she fought. She is awaiting for the time when Acts 24:15 will be fulfilled.
