Martin David Dunlap

Martin David Dunlap, age 59, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Born in Chester, PA on August 13, 1963, he was a son of the late Paul Jacob Dunlap and Mary Ellen (Reeves) Wample. Martin was a graduate of Del Castle Technical High School, where he worked on boilers and pipes as a trade. Soon after, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary and together they raised three children. Martin spent his career working as a pipefitter for Magco.

Martin had a passion for the outdoors that he loved sharing with his family. Together they went on countless camping trips and enjoyed bicycle riding. During the winter months, Martin and his sons would often go snow skiing. When spring came, he took his sons and nephew to play disc golf. Most of all, Martin enjoyed his motorcycle and taking his wife to the Brandywine.

Martin is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary R. (Albright) Dunlap; children, Jessica Dunlap, David Dunlap (Lindsey), and James Dunlap (Lindsay); grandchildren, Cody Dunlap, Lilliana Dunlap, Dean Dunlap, Emilia Dunlap, and Erin Dunlap; siblings, Christine Dunlap and Paul Dunlap (Tammy); mother-in-law, Helen Albright; and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be held privately.
