Mary C. “Chrissy” Reed

Mrs. Mary C. Reed, known fondly as “Chrissy,” age 51, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011.
Chrissy was born in Lancaster, PA, on April 22, 1960. For 22 years, she made her career with the W.L. Gore Corporation, where she worked in quality control at the Cherry Hill site.
A talented homemaker throughout her life, Chrissy greatly enjoyed cooking and tending her beautiful flower garden. She especially delighted in children and loved caring for them.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Greer, and brother, Raymond Greer. She is survived by her beloved husband, William N. Reed; children, Sarah Mondzelewski of Middletown, DE, Brett Focht of Milan, MO, and Kathryn Reed of Middletown, DE; mother, Patty Sue Kloeppner of Newark, DE; brother, Wayne Bunting of Wilmington; sisters, Jamie R. Schilling of Boynton Beach, FL, and Ida Mae Haggerty of Summersville, MO; and grandson, James Mondzelewski.
A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 5 pm.
