Mary (Logan) “Sis” Maxwell, age 69, of New Castle, DE, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Born in Wilmington, DE on September 22, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Jewel (Noble) Logan, Sr. Sis dedicated her life to her family, especially her children. Sis also dedicated a significant portion of her life as a member of the Holloway Terrace Ladies Auxiliary, where she held several offices, including President. Sis took pride in organizing several fundraisers for the organization for many years. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years and watching her children play various sports. As she got older, Sis adored the time she spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them to bake.
In addition to her parents, Sis was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Logan. She is survived by her loving husband, William Sr.; siblings, Harry (Ronnie), twin brother William (Mary Lou), Kenneth (Michelle), and Beverly (Edward); her children, William Jr. (Nicole), Harry (Loretta), Michael (Tina), and Robert (Susan); 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Holloway Terrace Fire Company, 700 West Ave, New Castle, DE. Services and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sis’s memory to Holloway Terrace Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary, 700 West Ave, New Castle, DE 19720.
