Matthew R. “Ryan” Story, age 34, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Born in Newark, DE, on June 13, 1991, he was a son of William R. Story, Sr. and Lisa M. (Pilgrene) Story. Ryan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. An avid New York Jets fan, Ryan enjoyed cheering on his team.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Lisa M. Story; father, William R. Story Sr. (Dara); son, Preston M. Story; siblings, William R. Story Jr. (Amanda), Ashley N. Story, and Shelby L. Farmer; and nieces, Jayla S. Forrest, Olivia G. Story, and Kenleigh C. Story.
All services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ryan’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
