Michael D. Crossan, age 68, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025.

Born in Wilmington, DE on August 9, 1957, he was a son of the late James M. and Jeanette E. (Tuskweth) Crossan. Michael made his career as a heavy equipment operator as well as ground maintenance for the state of Delaware.

Michael enjoyed building radio-controlled model airplanes and boats in his spare time. Once completed, he could often be found flying or sailing his newest creation. Michael was a self-taught astronomer and enjoyed electronics.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his siblings, James A. Crossan of Middletown and Beatrice A. Harper of Delaware City.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Glebe Cemetery, New Castle, DE.
