Michael Deremer, age 74, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Born in Morenci, AZ on February 24, 1951, he was a son of the late Alice Joy (McCoy) Miller. Michael loved living in Newark and had been a resident for 30 years. He worked at Goodwill of Delaware for over 50 years. Michael was a dedicated and loyal employee who loved his job.

Michael always looked forward to going out to eat and to the movies. In his spare time, he could often be found watching NASCAR. Michael enjoyed finding the perfect Hallmark card for his family and friends to make their season special. Most of all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with his brother, David. Michael will be dearly missed and his memory will live in his family’s hearts forever.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Miller. He is survived by his brother, David C. Miller (Debbie) of Newark.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
