Michael Joseph “Mike” Fournier

Michael Joseph “Mike” Fournier, age 59, of New Castle, DE, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Born in Wilmington, DE on, September 7, 1965, he was a son of Rosa E. (Cushing) and the late Gerald N. Fournier.
Mike was a graduate of William Penn High School. Throughout his life, he worked for various companies, but his most recent and cherished role was as a devoted care provider for his mother. Mike’s support and dedication to his family were immeasurable.
He had a passion for astronomy and was an avid sports fan. Mike cheered for his favorite teams, including the Eagles, Phillies, and Chiefs. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pop Pop. “Farewell Pop Pop.”
In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by his son, Kevin Fournier (Hilary); grandchildren, Kameron, Hanna, and Hensley Fournier; and siblings, Michelle Fournier, Matthew Fournier (Karena), Marie Fenimore (David), and Mark Fournier.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 noon until 1 pm on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will be held privately.

I miss you so very much, Mike. You may have been hard to deal with at times but you always had a heart of gold. Oh God this is so very hard on me right now. Rest In Peace My sweet Brother you will be missed and we will pull together to make sure Mom is ok and taken care of. Love you always and forever. Please check in on us from time to time. I am sure it was Uncle Jack, Aunt Mil and your very best childhood friend Kevin Elliott who passed away very young who met you at Heavens Gate.
