Michael Joseph “Mike” Wilson, Sr.

Michael Joseph “Mike” Wilson, Sr., age 42, of Bear, DE, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019.
Born in Wilmington, DE on August 7, 1977, he was a son of Willard A. and Jean A. (Mitchell) Wilson. Mike worked in roofing and siding from a young age and later proudly owned and operated his own construction company, MJW Construction, LLC for several years. He was a loving son, father, brother and dear friend to many. Mike will be dearly missed by the many lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Wilson. Mike is survived by his parents, Willard and Jean; children, Kayla Wilson, Michael Wilson, Jr.; brother, William Wilson; companion, Jackie Demsky; and former spouse, Jacqueline Wilson.
All services and interment will be held privately.

Mike was a good friend and a genuinely wonderful person. He was kind, hard working, and a very talented contractor. He would regularly go out of his way to help people. Mike loves his family and spoke of them often, especially how proud he was of his children.
Over the years I worked on many jobs with Mike and we became friends. He was meticulous at bending metal trim, the best I’ve ever seen. He was a true craftsman who put his all into his work. I’ve referred many customers over the years, and they always raves about the man and his work.
My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
Mike, you are sorely missed my friend.
