Nina Lee Vaughn, age 68, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
Born on Philadelphia, PA, on August 1, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Lissi (Poulsen) Downes. Nina was the proud owner of Nina’s Housekeeping for 20 years.
In her spare time, Nina could often be found watching drag racing or Monk and Murder She Wrote. She had a passion for animals.
In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her canine companions, Magic and Gala. She is survived by her loving husband of 6 years, Martin Wayne Vaughn; stepchildren, John Martin Vaughn (Elena Walmsley) and Anthony Wayne Vaughn; sister, Karen Downes Colon; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 11 am on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
