Pamela “Pam” Vaughan, age 70, of Chester, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 8, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Gilford M. and Barbara (Brown) Thurman. Pam made her career in business management and consulting for over 50 years. Most recently, she worked as a judicial education program manager at the Judicial College of Maryland in Annapolis for 10 years. Pam loved to travel to new places and spend time with her family and friends.

Pam is survived by her siblings, Steven A. Thurman (Jane) and David G. Thurman (Lisa); nieces, Amanda Nersasian Sheets (Greg), Krista Thurman, and Kelli Thurman; and grandnephew, Gavin Nersasian.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

Pam was as warm, kind, and helpful as a person could be. Although I didn’t know Pam as well as you do, I really feel her loss, and offer you my deepest condolences.

    I was so very sorry to just find out yesterday of Pam’s passing. She was a classmate of mine, one of our cheerleaders and always such a sweetheart! Pam will never be forgotten, as she brought so much joy over the years to so many people and was so much a part of our lives in school at all sporting events, as she helped us cheer on our high school athletes! 🙂
