Patricia Ann Urbanavage

Patricia Ann Urbanavage, age 88, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Born in West Hazleton, PA on November 15, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Peter J. and Alberta A. (Petrachonis) Neveras. Patricia worked for the State of Delaware for 20 years until her retirement.

In her younger years, Patricia enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, and driving golf carts around Gulls Way Campground. She also served as a Girl Scouts leader for Troop 17 in New Castle. In her spare time, Patricia loved to solve puzzles and play bingo. She had a passion for music and was a proud member of the Sweet Adeline’s Women’s Choir. Patricia enjoyed the holidays, especially making her famous Christmas fudge, which her family always looked forward too.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Urbanavage; and brother, Robert Nerveras. She is survived by her children, Wayne Urbanavage (Patricia) of Chambersburg, PA, William Urbanavage of New Castle, DE, Patricia Porter (Stephen) of Frederica, DE, and Margaret Loeb (Wayne) of Newark, DE; sister, Debbie Nacchia (Chris) of Ocean View, DE; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
