Patrick “Scotty” Cain, age 85, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Born in Blantyre, Scotland on February 27, 1939, he was a son of the late James and Margaret (MacAleenan) Cain. Scotty served in the British Army before moving to the United States on June 22, 1965. He loved to host holiday parties for his friends and family, and regularly attended the annual Scottish Games in Maryland.

In addition to his parents, Scotty was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Jackie; his daughter-in-law, Billie Cain; and his precious great-granddaughter, Ava Mae Croce, who he just adored. He is survived by his children, Mark Cain of Middletown and Tracey Stone of Apollo Beach, FL; son-in-law, Dan Stone of Middletown; grandchildren, Brandon Croce of Middletown, Lauren Brown of Middletown, Sean Cain of Lewes, Nathan Stone of Middletown, and Jason Cain of Middletown; great-grandchildren, Mia Croce and Cole Brown both of Middletown; sister, Isabelle Whitters of East Kilbride, Scotland; as well as dozens of nieces and nephews in the United States and Scotland.

All services will be held privately.
