Paul F. “Dyno” Lanouette, Jr., age 68, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on December 25, 1956, he was a son of the late Paul F. and Sarah J. “Sally” (Breslin) Lanouette, Sr. Paul worked as an auto mechanic.

A man of faith, Paul was a member of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, where he served as a Saturday night usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 11469. He also enjoyed being a member of the Howard J. Weston Senior Center in Manor Park. In his spare time, Paul loved watching NASCAR.

Paul is survived by his siblings, Brian J. Lanouette (Sherri), David Lanouette, and Alicia M. Lanouette; nieces and nephews, Matthew Lanouette (Vickie), Jonathan Lanouette (Corrine), Allison Trevino (Jesus), and Brad Lanouette (Rachel); and great-nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Brielle, Cambria, Eli, Evelyn, Beaux, and Brock.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 801 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue, P.O. Box 11, Royersford, PA 19468 or online by clicking here; or to the Weston Senior Center, Attn: Vicki Sheraton, 1 Bassett Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720.

  • Brian, David and Alicia, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. The loss of a sibling is a hard one. God give you strength. I have so many great memories of all of you from our school days at Fatima and summers full of baseball games. Take good care. Rest in peace, Paul.

  • Paul was always so friendly and kind to me and my family when we would see him at 5:00 mass. He will be missed by many at the 5:00 mass at Our Lady of Fatima.

  • I was saddened to hear about your loss. I would sit with Paul at lunch at the senior center, he was soft spoken. I sometimes see him walking his dog at the park. My deepest sympathy to the family. Paul will be missed.

  • Paul always spoke to me and my boyfriend at the 5:00 mass at Our Lady of Fatima.
    I remember him helping the church as a child.
    He was a friendly and caring man!
    Surely will be missed!

  • We are very sorry to hear about Paul. He was always so kind and friendly to everyone at Fatima. He always would come and speak to our son as he grew up there and was an Altar Server and Paul always called him his buddy. Paul always asked about him every time we saw him at mass and still called him his buddy after all these years. We will miss seeing him. Your family is in our prayers.

  • So sorry to learn of Paul’s passing. He was a well-liked member of Fatima who contributed greatly to parish life for decades. He also was a most loyal and dedicated supporter of William Penn sports teams, especially the football program.

  • I knew Paul from the Dairy Palace. He came up everyday and tried something new:) was always so friendly & kind and always told me never work too hard.. he will be missed! So sorry for your loss
