Raymond L. Mancini, age 81, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, DE on June 27, 1941, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Lydia (Landis) Mancini. Raymond was a Delaware native, graduating high school from Pierre S. duPont in 1959.  He obtained a business degree from East Carolina University and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  After he was honorably discharged, Raymond worked for Hercules, Inc. in the 1970’s, was a realtor for Tom Livizos Real Estate during the 1980’s, and worked as a postal carrier for the United States until he retired.

Raymond is survived by his adored wife, Caroline W. Mancini; sister, Mary Lee Kleinkauf and her husband, Harry; daughter, Pamela Mancini; and son, R. Matthew Mancini and his wife, Jeannette with their children, Victoria, Adriana, and Darren.

A committal service for family and friends will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware.

  • I was deeply saddened to hear of such a very dear friend passing. Ray and I work to at the Post office, we formed a genuine friendship. Route 531 & 532 is were we share a lot about family. Ray had a big passion for train’s that gained some of my interest as well. I went with him a few times to homes were train setups showing would be. I will always cherish the times we spent together. Boomer I wish we had more time, but he knows best.RIP my friend always Michael and family.
