Raymond Valentine “Ray” Kustosz, age 75, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on November 23, 1948, he was a son of the late John and Victoria (Swalkowski) Kustosz. Ray proudly served in the Delaware Army National Guard. He worked as a sales manager at Getty Oil for many years until his retirement.

Ray enjoyed spending time at his house in Lewes as well as the Lewes Moose Lodge. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved to cheer on his teams.

Ray is survived by his children, Scott Kustosz, Kate Lott, and Maura Schultz; significant other, Ann Marie Hand; grandchildren, Benjamin Pfeil, Delaney Schultz, Addison Pfeil, and Brennan Lott; and canine companions, Honey Bear and Bones.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately.

  • I met Ray when he became a Companion to one of my best friends Annmarie. They came to visit me in Pennsylvania and I enjoyed our time together. It was such a good feeling to see them together and the love they shared. He was such a pleasure to be around. You could see the happiness they both shared. Wish I could be there physically with you but you are in my thoughts. We will get together soon somehow. Love you friend.
