Restituto M. “Resty” Quezon

Restituto M. “Resty” Quezon, age 66, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Naic Cavite, Philippines on May 18, 1957, he was a son of the late Avelino and Lourdes (Mendoza) Quezon. Resty graduated from Cavite College of Fisheries in 1975 and dedicated much of his working life to the hospitality industry. He spent 15 memorable years at Benniganβs and concluded his career at Brio. Resty found joy in life’s simple pleasures, particularly in shopping, traveling, and spending cherished moments with his family and many friends. He held a deep affection for his homeland and cherished every opportunity to return to the Philippines.
In addition to his parents, Resty was preceded in death by his brother, Narciso Quezon (Angelita); sister, Josefina Lubag (Fernando); and nephews, Gregorio Quezon Jr. and Dhel Rivera. He is survived by his siblings, Gregorio (Mary), Donisio (Alma), Wilfredo (Doris), Melanie (Hernanie), and Roberto (Maria Teresa); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Resty are invited to celebrate his life from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, New Castle, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Details regarding the reception will be provided subsequently. Interment will be held in Nazarene Eternal Garden in Naic Cavite, Philippines at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to facilitate Resty’s final journey home to the Philippines.
