Born in Wilmington, DE on February 27, 1943, he was a son of the late David and Eleanor (Stierle) Jordan. Bob began his career as an Inventory Control Manager at Amoco for 17 years before moving to NVF where he worked until his retirement. Bob also valued the friendship of four close friends for over 70 years; a group calling themselves the “FAB-FIVE”;(A group of classmates that have continued contact with one another, meeting yearly for fun while remembering special times growing up together.) Most of all he valued the time spent with his family, which meant the most to him.
In addition to his parents, his beloved wife, Dorothy J. “Dottie” Jordan whom he shared 56 years of marriage with, preceded Bob in death. He is survived by his loving children, Michael Jordan (Cari) of Newark, Michelle Jordan of New Castle, and Mark Jordan (Suzanne) of Newark; his brother, William Jordan (Barbara) of New Castle; and granddaughters, Kelsey Jordan, Ava Jordan, and Ella Jordan.

I’m pleased that I had visited with Bobby before his passing. It gave us moments together that I will always remember. We met at Harlen, hung out in school & continued that life long friendship. So many great memories. I appreciated him giving me 1 of his elevator passes as it came in handy until I was caught. That eary morning trip to Rehobeth, my throwing a rod trying to do 100 mph & us driving back home with jugs of water to get home. I greve not from his passing, but that I no longer will have him in my life. To: Michelle, Michael & Mark, so sorry of your dad’s passing. Partically so soon after your mom’s passing. My prayers & thoughts remain with you three forever.

Michelle, this was a beautiful video of you and your family. You have so many great memories to live with. I understand that there are times that you just want them there! I feel the same. Let’s pray that we both can learn to live without them. Hang in there and hoping your loved ones will hope you get through these rough times. Sharon

Like Butch and Billy, I played dodge ball with Bobby in the gym at Harlan School and like the others who have commented here I’m sorry that our last get together (for a meal at the Crossroads Restaurant) turns out to be our last. Rest In Peace Bobby Jordan, you’ve certainly earned it. Danny Stat
