Robert T. “Rob” Coleman, age 58, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE on June 21, 1966, he was a son of Bobby B. and Phoebe J. (Rowe) Coleman. Rob was a graduate of Glasgow High School. Following graduation, he began his lifelong career with Chrysler, retiring after 30 years.

An avid outdoorsman, Rob especially enjoyed fishing. He could be found every Sunday cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Of all his interests, Rob loved spending time with his granddaughter. He had a great sense of humor that will be missed by all. Rob will always be remembered as a giving person who was always willing to help those in need, he would’ve given the shirt off his back to anyone.

Rob is survived by his children, Robert Coleman and Brittny Coleman; parents, Bobby and Phoebe Coleman; granddaughter, Alina Rini; siblings, Sherry Baker (Chris), Timothy Coleman (Debra), Danny Coleman (Kathy), and John Coleman (Kim); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. A second visitation will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the funeral home, where a funeral service will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

  • So sorry to hear of the passing of “little Robbie”. I remember when he was born and how happy and joyful he was as a child. My thoughts and prayers go out to his beautiful family who made all of the kids in the neighborhood feel safe and loved. I have so many good memories of swimming in the Coleman pool, catching fireflies at night, telling scary stories, playing tag… Robbie was sweet and a great brother to his siblings.
