Robert Walker Gill, Jr.

September 23, 1947 - December 20, 2025

Robert Walker Gill, Jr., age 78, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert W. Gill and Phyllis E. Clewley. Robert proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a sales representative at Tonkin Chevrolet for many years. Robert had his own cleaning business, Award Cleaning Service by Bob Gill. He made his career as a registered nurse at Multi Medical Centers.

In his younger years, Robert enjoyed bike riding and boating on the Chesapeake Bay with his family. He loved to spend his free time in nature and could often be found fishing. Robert and his son, Travis spent evenings in the backyard stargazing and counting how many they could find. He was a train enthusiast. His wife, Patricia fondly remembers their first Christmas together when she gifted him a beautiful train set. Robert’s passion was classic, antique, and luxury cars. Over the years, he owned a Studebaker, a Cadillac, an old school Camaro, a Corvette, a Buick, and a 2018 Mustang, which was his latest car he had before he passed. He especially liked the Mustang GT 5.0. Robert was also a talented artist. He loved art and had many paintings that he did in his lifetime. Robert could look at a person and paint them exactly the way they looked. Robert was incredibly gifted. He enjoyed relaxing with a book, cooking (he made the best chili) and baking. Robert loved people and would help anyone regardless of who they were.

Robert treasured his family and the memories he made with them. He and his stepson, Enoch shared a loving bond. Robert shared all of his love, care and support, and Enoch did the same. Robert and Travis were best friends; their love was unconditional. He deeply loved and cherished his grandchildren. Robert adored Patricia; she was always by his side. He called her his backbone, among many other affectionate names. She was there for him even through his last breaths. Patricia was always supportive and proved her love for him in so many ways.

Robert is survived by his loving and caring wife, Patricia Gbor Gill; 4 daughters; son, Travis Robert Gill; stepson, Enoch; and his grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am.
