  • I was so shocked to see this post! I am so sorry for your loss!
I talk about all the camping trips that we were buddies on all the time. We could help each other put up the tent in the rain one holding the flashlight for the other. There was one camping trip where Robyn couldn’t leave with the troop to go and came by herself because she had to work late. We were all settled in our tents for the night and it was pouring down rain. I heard her come in and she was setting up her tent near mine. I got up went out and helped her in the pouring down rain. She kept saying you don’t have to do this do this! You’re getting soaked! But that’s what friends do.
I also remember a camping trip to Antietam. I was having shoulder surgery that day. While I’m waiting to go into the OR, a masked woman walked up to me and said, “what a hell of a way to get out of a camping trip!”
I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers, especially at this time of year, it’s so hard.
    God bless you all.

  • Ray

Love you forever Mama Rucier.
