Rosemary Elizabeth “Rosie” Wardell

Rosemary Elizabeth “Rosie” Wardell, age 79, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ on September 14, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda (Yearicks) Neal, Sr. Rosie worked for many years at Bailey’s Seafood and Helen’s Sausage House. She enjoyed attending yard sales and bake sales.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, George R. Wardell; and siblings, Arthur Neal, Jr. and Ethel May Andrews. She is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Kuzma (Steve); several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and her dear friends, Cathy Swanson, Janet Gullett, Jamie Johnson, and Helju Lex.

Interment will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
