Samuel M. “Papa Bear” Robertson, age 64, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on December 25, 1961, he was a son of the late Harry M. and Gaynell J. “Jeaniea” (Duncan) Robertson. He made his career as a diesel technician with Greggo & Ferrara for the past 10 years.

Samuel was a talented mechanic, and loved teaching his sons how to work on cars. He enjoyed spending his free time riding his motorcycle.

Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Christina A.M. (Thompson) Robertson; children, Matthew B. Robertson (Kathy Bien), Stephanie A. Robertson, and Steven H.S. Robertson; grandson, whom he raised, Isaiah J. Robertson; siblings, Sham Robertson, Steve Robertson, Stanley Robertson, Shane Robertson, and Sandy Robertson; and former wife, Maryanne Morrow.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Samuel’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
