Sandra Lee Bruce

Sandra Lee Bruce, age 80, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Born in Harrisburg, PA on August 21, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Stauffer. Sandra was an exemplary mother figure and human being. She embodied the best qualities, unconditional love, strength of spirit, and unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends.

Sandra was known as Sandy to many and mom-mom to most! She loved hosting holidays and making cakes for all her grandchildren’s birthdays. Sandra was poised, elegant, and perfected turning a house into a home. She would cook every Sunday while listening to Elvis.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert Bruce; brothers, Larry and Rocky Stauffer; and sister, Darlene Margera. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Stauffer; three sons, Richard, Michael, and Mark Bruce; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A committal service will begin at 10 am on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
