Sondra Gail Larson

Sondra Gail Larson, age 82, of Dover, DE, and formerly of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Born in Uniontown, PA on April 6, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Nora (Hoff) Isler. Sondra worked for Big Elk Liquor and Deli in Elkton, MD for many years, where she made many lifelong friendships.

Sondra had a passion for cooking and could often be found in her kitchen. She cherished the time she spent with her family. Sondra will always be remembered for her gift of helping others and unconditional love.

In addition to her mother, Sondra was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. McDonough, Sr.; husband, David E. Larson; grandson, William J. Nelson III; stepfather, John Isler; and siblings, Thomas Shaffer and Donna Shaffer. She is survived by her children, Robin L. Nelson, Ricki L. Pressell, James R. McDonough, Scott D. Larson (Kim), and Brian D. Larson; grandchildren, Chase (Alexa), Brandon (Ashton), Brittany, Jamy, Jimmy, and Kaitlyn; great-granddaughter, Noa Jean; and several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Entombment will be held privately.
