Sonya Lynn (Watson) Hendricks, age 56, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Born in Glenolden, PA on March 21, 1968, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Carolyn (Coffin) Watson. Sonya dedicated her life to her family as a talented homemaker.
A woman of faith, Sonya was a member of St. Joseph Parish. She was also a member of the Middletown Mom’s Club. In her spare time, Sonya enjoyed crocheting and watching movies. She always looked forward to getting dinner with her friends. Most of all, Sonya loved going on vacation with her family and friends.
Sonya is survived by her husband, Bruce Michael Hendricks; children, Jonathan Joseph Hendricks and Jillian Nicole Hendricks; brother, Shawn Watson (Andrea Schuts); niece, Julliana Watson; nephew, Jake Watson; and William Hagen, whom she loved like a grandfather.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10:30 am on Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Joseph Parish, 319 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately.
